Taking a Break in Death Valley
These were taken with a Canon F1 and Canon 24mm lens on Velvia 50 slide film. They were scanned with a Nikon Coolscan V and adjusted in GIMP.

Emerald Pools and Big Skies at Zion National Park
When not otherwise engaged in my official duties, I took some time to visit the park.
Nothing but a Canon A1, some Provia slide film and beautiful skies to occupy my time.

| Lower McCloud Falls Canon FD, 24mm, Efke 25 film |
This weekend I was fortunate enough to join Karol and Josh on a tour of their favorite waterfalls in the Redding / Shasta area.
I carried either the A1 or the F1, a 24mm f/2.8 lens and a roll of Efke 25 print film.
I chose this slow film as I planned to shoot many of the waterfalls at 1/2-2s exposures and I didn't want to have to fool around with neutral density filters to deal with higher-sensitivity film.

I was using Efke 25 film, a thin film from a Croation company that's kinda difficult to work with. It also collects an incredible amount of dust.

I processed this roll myself, making it the first roll where I was entirely self-sufficient, from shooting to processing to scanning. Fun but time-consuming.
